East Boundary Renovation - Bentleigh East
The East Boundry Renovation was a series of internal alterations inspired by the client's need to create a large family home within the existing footprint. The design allowed for the retention of existing window openings to be retained thus reducing the need for further alterations to the home.
With the renovations taking place it allowed the client to have insulation upgraded throughout the entire residence & new plumbing & wiring throughout. It also allowed the installation of new double glazed windows throughout the home increasing it's thermal retention significantly compared to it's orignal footprint.
From there the rear of the home was opened up to the North & North East aspects with the relocation of the kitchen. Two large double glazed stack sliding doors were installed out onto the new rear decking. Although not excessively sustainable in it's design it is a great outcome for a cost effective renovation that was able to take in as many sustainable concepts as it could within a tight budget.
